You’ll help five students get caught up to grade level.  Just help the kids get online with their iPads and watch them learn! Whether they are simply progressing on their personalized learning path or working on individual assignments, you’ll have the ability provide individual attention by tuning in with an audio splitter. The award-winning learning software is fun and built specifically for children. Everything is provided….well, except your cheerleading pom-poms!

1

Commit to one day per week

Most online sessions last 30 minutes to one hour.  Don’t worry, we have substitutes if you know you will miss a week.

2

Complete the FREE Duval County Public Schools background check

Adult volunteers submit this online volunteer application. Then, proceed directly to the next step as sometimes that system fails to send emails even though clearance has been granted.

High school students complete this DCPS paper form.

3

Tell us about you

We’ll work with the classroom teachers to make the classroom match(es) – based both on student needs and times available.

4

Attend a one-hour orientation

Your first session will be an opportunity to meet your classroom teacher(s), learn about the school’s security protocol, get a tour of the school, experience the online tutoring software for yourself, and get answers to any questions you might have.  Please be sure to bring your driver’s license or other government issued ID so you can be added to the school’s security system.

5

Meet your students and watch them go!

You can help put these children on the road to academic success!  We believe relationships really matter.  This is why you’ll run the sessions with the same students each week.

6

Enjoy!

Enjoy making a meaningful difference in the lives of children!
