Volunteer Opportunities
Elementary school volunteers are extra-special people who are committed to helping our students feel confident in their ability to learn. Whether you wish to volunteer at the school or at home, we’ll find the perfect experience for you – the possibilities are numerous!
Tutor / Teaching Assistant
Do you want to work directly with young children? You’ll help one or more students get up to grade level. You’ll be in a kindergarten classroom with the teacher available for consultation.
1 hour/day | Select 1 to 3 days a week
Location: Dinsmore Elementary | Any time during school hours (8:30am to 2:30pm)
Online Projects
Are you tech savvy and looking for an opportunity to help educate young children? Whether you like working on a computer or a tablet, we’ve got online projects to match your interests.

Location: Your home or Dinsmore Elementary | Any time
Classroom Aide
You’ll partner with a kindergarten or first-grade teacher assisting with preparing instructional materials, sorting student paperwork, designing a bulletin board, etc. You’ll be surprised to learn how much you can help the classroom be more effective.
3 hours/day | Select 1 to 5 days a week
Location: Dinsmore Elementary | Any time during school hours (8:30am to 2:30pm)
Copy Cat
Help elementary school teachers by making requested copies.
Flexible hours | Flexible days
Location: Dinsmore Elementary | Any time between 7:00am and 5:30pm
Materials Prep
Do you like crafts? At various times throughout the year, there will be different projects to choose from. Examples include assembling, organizing, or stapling student materials and teaching aids. Either pick up the projects at the school or we’ll deliver to your home.
