We’ve delivered 3,300 first-grade spelling pads! Requested by teachers, the 30 different spelling pads align directly with the weekly classroom curriculum. The pads encourage the children to spend more time on their spelling words – handwriting each word multiple times, filling in blank letters, visualizing similarities, and reading short sentences.
We want to thank our volunteers. Walmart River City Marketplace provided the grant that funded the purchase the 27, 335 sheets of cardstock and copy paper. Barbara Willson composed sentences to show how each word is used. Roger Mann and The Bradley Family cut and assembled the pads.
