Did you know teachers spend an average of $750 per year of their own money on classroom supplies? We implemented a supply refurbishment system in February 2023. While the supplies remain the same, the storage location has changed once again.
At first we had supply bins in every kindergarten and first-grade classroom. This proved too difficult for volunteers to refill. Plus, the bins took up too much space in the classrooms.
Then, we consolidated the supplies in a supply closet. Having all the supplies in one place worked well for the volunteers but teachers did not have convenient access.
We think we have a location that finally works! We placed a cabinet in the lead kindergarten teacher’s classroom. Kindergarten teachers often meet in this classroom and first-grade teachers have easy access as well.
