Teen Power

We now have a program to bring Teen Power to all grade levels.  High schoolers needing hours can volunteer: on early release days, on teacher planning/in-service days, for virtual online projects, and for projects to be done at home. Our summer teen volunteer program will continue at both the Southeast Public Library and the school.

Seeing the Possibilities

CVC (consonant – vowel – consonant) words are important when learning to read.  We designed this word tray to give young children a big picture view of CVC words. Such Smart Kids

Did you know kindergarteners can have gaps in learning?  The early learning curriculums move so fast that kindergarteners who did not attend pre-K are at a disadvantage.  These little learners can benefit greatly from extra tutoring. Rewarding Successes

Already, two kindergarteners have earned t-shirts! The Know & Grow Tutoring Program has eight (8) goals.  Students receive certificates as they complete each goal.  Once a child receives three certificates, he/she receives this fun Khan Academy Kids t-shirt.
